I chose to specialise in family law because when I had my first child at a very young age I was driven to break stereotypes.
I’ve practiced since 2006. Being one of three sisters I am a natural mediator and I’ve always been interested in helping people so being a family lawyer appealed to me. Initially I wanted to focus on working on domestic abuse cases, however once in practice Childcare law really ignited in me a love for what I do, helping those at risk of losing their children I found to be one of the most important things a lawyer can do; I want to help those that are disadvantage, that may not have the ability or opportunity to be able to represent themselves, and that carries through to the other areas in my specialism.
I see people coming in my office very troubled, with a lack of understanding, without knowing what their rights are. Sometimes the are faced with daunting prospects of facing difficult or complex proceedings like the removal of their children, or being divorced from their partner, facing the breakdown of their family or being embroiled in disputes over finances or children. I like to ensure that when they leave the office they do so feeling better knowing what the process is going to be like and what to expect. I like making people feel better and helping people through the most difficult time of their lives.
I like making a difference. I’d love to make a difference for you.
