Going through a divorce is hard enough but its made worse when you have to worry about the cost of it. That’s why we have launched our fixed fee for divorce scheme.
The scheme is designed for undefended divorces proceeding by consent. If you are starting the divorce then our fee is £250 plus VAT* and if you are the respondent to it our fee is £60 plus VAT *.
Unlike “on-line” divorces you will receive personal service from one of our solicitors with the opportunity to come in and see and discuss matters. We will guide you through the process step by step.
We will advise you about the grounds of divorce and draft the papers for you. If you are the petitioner there will be court fees but these may be covered (in full or part) by the courts fee remission scheme.
The sad reality of life is that not all marriages succeed, divorce is particularly hard when money is tight, this scheme goes some way to helping especially as we are likely to see legal aid for divorce abolished soon.
