After your appointment, you will be sent a comprehensive attendance note covering what was discussed during the appointment plus any advice or action points.

LEGAL AID

We are registered Legal Aid Solicitors and hold a contract with the Legal Aid Agency. The majority of solicitors now no longer provide Legal Aid services, however, Higgins Miller is different. We are still one of the UK’s few Legal Aid Solicitors happy to undertake family law work that is funded by Legal Aid. The Legal Aid Agency has a strict criteria for granting Legal Aid. They will assess your information against their criteria then either grant a certificate or reject your claim.

1^st FIXED FEE MEETING

We want to ensure all our clients have access to legal advice, which is why we provide a one-hour fixed fee first appointment. For just £120 + VAT @ 20% we will meet you to discuss your case and we will advise you on the most appropriate action you should take, either by yourself or through one of our expert solicitors. We will also advise you on the most likely timescale and costs. After the meeting, we will provide you with a written report to confirm our advice to you.
