At Higgins Miller we understand that a breakdown of a relationship can be a very traumatic time and we are committed to making the process of divorce or civil partnership dissolution as straightforward and stress-free as possible without incurring necessary costs. We always have a sympathetic approach to such issues.
We are now able to offer a fixed fee divorce or civil partnership dissolution for £250 plus VAT (this will also be subject to payment of court fees). This will cover an initial meeting with us to discuss your case and preparation of all paperwork throughout the divorce or civil partnership proceedings.
If your partner has commenced divorce or civil partnership proceedings and you have received a petition from the court we are happy to meet with you to discuss that paperwork and conduct the proceedings through to conclusion for the fixed fee of just £60 plus VAT.
Our fixed fees do not cover:
- The costs of the petition becoming defended or being altered by the court once it is issued
- The cost of obtaining a replacement marriage certificate if you have lost the original
- Advice in relation to financial matters
- Advice in relation to children matters

Legal Aid and Funding your Case At Higgins Miller we are authorised by the Legal Services Commission to provide advice under the Legal Aid scheme in relation to all areas of family law and subject to eligibility criteria.
