Bear Grylls Survival Race

After completing Tough Mudder in August the team have decided to take up another challenge … this time tackling the formidable Bear Grylls Survival Race on Saturday 24th September at Tatton Park.

To complete this challenging 10K course the team will have to overcome 35+ obstacles and 4+ unique BG Survival Challenges in a series of different survival zones that are designed to test ability and determination to survive in the harshest environments and the most difficult terrain.  These zones include: jungle, arctic, desert and mountain challenges created to test competitors to the absolute limit.

A rope climb and monkey bars, along with a double jerry can and triceps traverse are just some of the obstacles the team will face. It’s also a requirement that every obstacle must be attempted and a forfeit will be enforced for any failures to complete, including the dreaded burpee…

Among the other obstacles the team will face will be having to climb mountainous walls and leaping the flames of a frightening fire pit.

Bear Grylls said: “This is about empowering people to test and extend their adventure fitness, using the type of obstacles that I have often encountered in the wild.  We will have an edge, and this race is designed to push those physical and mental limits, to there and beyond”.

This is without doubt the most formidable challenge the team have yet undertaken.  Hopefully they will all survive the Bear Grylls Survival Race to relate their experiences!
